Ford 8N dies after 30 minutes run time

Here is a strange one I can't quite figure out...
Over the past several months my 8N has started to die after 30 min-1 hr of operation. Runs fine, then suddenly dies with no warning. Attempts to restart are futile for the first 20-30 minutes, then often it will start right up again. When I check after it dies, I have spark at the plugs. Also, when I open the fuel drain on the carb, there is plenty of gas.

I have new plugs and wires, new condenser and points, an almost new coil, and carb was rebuilt 3-4 months ago.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Al..... ....there are 4-common run issues with the squarecoil 4-nipple frontmount N-Engine.

1) runs for about 1 minute and quits, bad condenser, not your stated problem
2) runs for about 5 minutes and quits, clogged fuel filters, not your stated problem
4) runs for about 1 hr and quits; restarts after cooling off overnite; bad squarecan ignition coil; not your stated problem 3) runs for about 15-30 minutes and quits; restarts after cooling off about hour
sound like your stated problem?
BAD IGNITION SWITCH GUTTZ; You doubt? Have a pre-made jumperwire with alligator clippies and when the engine dies, by-pass the ignition switch at the terminal board underneath the ammeter. Bettcha starts right up..... .....Dell

Re: The suggestions of a bad ignition switch or a bad resistor. I am getting a spark at the plug. Would that happen if I had a bad switch or resistor?

I will try Dell's suggestion of jumpering the switch next time it happens.

My guess, heated coil or bad key switch..
