WOW, that's wild. I've seen some operators pull some maneuvers but that one takes the cake. Thanks for posting that Russ.
Later, Lee

Actually this was a quite common occurance along the Southern Pacific rail lines when we buried one of the first trancontinental fiber optic cables between Atlanta and Los Angeles. A complete train was dedicated to this task made up of reel cars, a plow car, hand-hole cars, and equipment cars. Whenever we came to a reel end or some form of obstruction a backhoe operator would simply unload himself.....dig out the obstruction.....and load himself back up. I saw many of these guys do things I never thought possible with a backhoe!

Yup! Used to watch this all the time back when I was working for the State of Kansas Department of Transportation (Engineering). Happened a LOT out in the middle of nowhere (which includes most of Kansas!), where there were no places to belly dump (like ericlb said). These guys are VERY good at what they do. As for the two yahoo's on the two forklifts..... .....well..... ..... ...it pretty much speaks for itself!

Sooooo ooo, what's the problem ? Both outriggers are down, and the loader and backhoe bucket have solid support contact. Doesn't look as though the ground is soft or will sluff. However, I would fire the guy for not wearing his seatbelt.

That has been posted here several times before. You should search the archives before posting.

Why should you have to do an archive search every time you want to post something? I've never seen it posted here before and appreciate seeing it for the first time. Just because you've seen it before no need to rain on his parade.

That looks like an easy way to get yourself killed on a tractor no matter how experienced you are.

this is good, but the tractor driver isn't playing, that is his job, this is a specialty co. that unloads railcars where a bottom dump station doesnt exist, i saw a link to this company last year , they can get 2 tractors up on the rail cars and walk them towards each other unloading the railcars, needless to say these guys are reeeal good ,if you blow these photos up notice the added flanges on the tractor to slide on the top of the railcars ericlb

We had a contractor that worked for my work and he would load and unload his back hoe like that every time. His trailer was a lot lower but he never had a set of ramps. He has since retired.
