This site is so good . It sure sounds like you all can answer any problem and are not scared to help your fellow N'er that is so cool. I have had a few questions and after reading the post that are written most of the questions are already answered . I have been laid up for a lil while but plan on getting back into working on my '40 9n and I did have a quick question for you guys,, I have 55 gal. of non foaming hydraulic oil that I used for my roll backs,,, constantly blowing hydro lines,, anyway can I use this in my 9n cases or do you recommend using the 90 wt .I ask cause I have it and hope to be able to use it keep up the great site

if what you have is still in the original container read the label and see if it meets Ford Spec 134D--or ask where you bought it

two schools of thought on Ford 134 and 80/90 weight--read the old posts--but if it meets Ford spec it will work

There is a difference between straight Hydraulic fluid and the Hy/Trans Fluid that is used in the rear ends of our N tractors.
Do Not Use straight hydraulic fluid!

You can use hydraulic #134 D oil from your New Holland Dealer, it's much thinner for cold weather work.
