I see where the front grill swings forward. It seems the top must be removed and if so is the gas tank attached? any info appreciated.
1952 ford 8n

thanks

Russ

Russ, there may be more ways to remove the radiator BUT I only have one way.Remove hood or use a hoist to raise the hood high enough to facilatate working on radiator. Unhook all wires, cables and lines from the hood before removal. Gas tank DOESN'T have to be removed but nice if empty.I've heard of raising just the front for removal (after unbolting ) hood at dash but not sure of this methoed. I always remove hood.

Russ..... ...thats right, to remove the 8N's radiator, the hood with the attached gastank must be removed. Its NOT that heavy, just awkward and removes best with a helper. Altho NOT necessary, drain your gastank. Have a set of sawhorses to set the hood down on. The radiator is held on to the frontaxle bracket usually with rusted carragebolts..... ...Dell
