Was looking at 80/90 wt gear oil at TSC which I thought I"ve seen suggested here, but bought their GL-1 Ford tractor tranny fluid.

By the way, my PTO works great, but not my 3-point.

What"s the best fluid?

The 80/90 did not work for me, but the 90W GL-1 did..The 80/90 formed bubbles in it and caused the lift to jerk and the gears ground..sounds like you have hydraulic problems..

Well..... ..that question is almost like asking what's the best brand of truck around here! Having said that, I don't expect to get a lot of disagreement if I name two: Ford/NH 134D fluid, or the originial spec 90w mineral oil. I'm told.....and I'm sure I will be corrected if I'm wrong .....that the GL-1 fluid at TSC is 90w mineral oil. Any other gear oil or hydraulic fluid is a no-go for lots of reasons.
