Dave, saw your question to Dell on 12/8/04 and his answer. I too now have the 2 resistors in my hand, but since auto elect. is not my field it is not intuitively obvious to me as to whether or not The pigtails are to be twisted together in series or in parallel. Would've asked Dell, but I just tuned in and saw he is on a trip. If you or anyone could help with this I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Phillip

Phillip, I just saw your message Tim's picture is exactly correct, I put the resistor set on my 2n and it works fine. Good luck Dave

As often as this little trick is described i have never seen a picture of one for people to learn from so I made one up today. The wires on the end would need to be soldered..hope it helps Tim

Are you SURE the wires get twisted clockwize? I don't think it would matter on an AC circuit, but this is DC.

Ho,ho,ho!

You take two 1 Ohm resistors, connect them in PARALLEL (put them side-by-side and twist the leads together, and solder them together).

The two 1 Ohm resistors in parallel give a resistance of .5 Ohm, as Dell specified.
