Ray,

I did my entire conversion myself, including fabricating the alternator bracket and wiring. It really is an easy job to do. I think counting the time it took me to fabricate the bracket, the total time to do the conversion was about 5 hours, give or take.... if you have all of your materials on hand, it's a good afternoon project.

It's been over a year now since I did the conversion to 12 Volts and it's still going strong.

*****HERE'S ANOTHER REASON TO CONVERT TO 12 VOLTS*****

I'm planning on building a frame for the 3 point hitch to hold a 12 volt truck winch to help out skidding logs out of the woods down in the hollers and valleys where you'd never get the tractor down to... :-)

check this page's link to parts suppliers under Marketplace. Genessee has an excellent 12 volt system with electronic ignition. I have it and wouldn't take a pretty for it.
