'47 8N (no ideas from archives)

Before I destroy these, anyone got suggestions for removal of the brake cross shaft bushings from the trumpets?Since these are blind holes I an leaning toward splitting with dremel & using old screwdriver to crush inward.

No fire wrench, and would be afraid of cutting welch plug anyway.

Bushings on order from Don B.

That & bent left cross shaft are the only things holding me up from finnishing brake/bearing/hubs replacement job.Going for DRY brakes for first time in years!!!!

Gonna see if local machine shop will press bend the shaft back straight monday.

Went to take a better look & got them both out with a cheap screwdriver.

I was just wary since I am prone to destruction from sutpidity, (see sig).

The sig line I refered to is:

I learned to fix a lot of things by breaking them first!
