Fresh charged battery. Starter turned over a few times. Then nothing. No clicks. Nothing. Is it most likely the solenoid? The starter foot pedal switch? Or the starter? How do I diagnose? Thanks. RMK

RMK..... ....your 3-terminal starter solenoid is fairly bullettproof. but..... ..the BIG thumb button by the trannys shifter can be making poor connection when you push on it. Simple test, ground your little middle solenoid terminal (tranny in neutral, of course) with a jumper wire. Iff'n it cranks, yer solenoid is good. (maybe, could be BADD BATTERY CABLES)

Remember the 6 volt MANTRA: "keeper kleen, bright, and tight" and don't be fer usin' enny of them thar wimppy ferrin made battery cables. Gittcha some 'arrychested 'mercum made one-aught (1/0) thick as yer thumb battery cables..... ....Dell
