third party image

This is a picture taken in 1961 of the tractor I worked on as kid on my grandfather's farm. It was his pride and joy. I'm standing in the back and my brother is on the seat. Last time I saw it was in the early 80's, and it was still in his barn in Hannibal NY years after he died. Might still be there. Just wondering if anyone can tell the year.

Paul- My guess it that is a 53 Jubilee or a 54 NAA. I based this opinion on the oval crank hole in the grill. The later Fords of this design had a more elongated crank hole.

Nice picture.

Thanks. I think if I get a magnifying glass I might be able to read the emblem on the original photo. It was probably taken with a Brownie. How many people remember that camera?

Kodak Brownie. Yes, I remember that camera well. It was the first camera I got as a kid and used 620 film. In fact, I still have that camera, and one of these days I'll get a digital to replace my second camera which was a 35 mm.

Any chance you may be able to get the tractor back. It would make a great project to restore, with memories to last a lifetime.

I'd love to get it, but I no longer have any connections to anyone in that area. I live in Maryland. Maybe sometime I'll post a question about whether anyone knows who owns the farm there. Probably would make sense to do it on the general board too. Thanks for your interest.
