Here are my two pride and joys. My 1948 Trailor Queen and my 1952 Workhorse.

Samson and Delila.

Happy New Years All!

Very cool! My daughter is a year and a half old and loves to sit on the tractor at every opportunity.

Do you know what make your scraper blade is? I believe it's the same as mine. Mine came with the tractor and the PO didn't know what make it was. I haven't looked closely for any identification, but seeing the pic of yours has me wondering.

I don"t know I bought it for $50 but it didn"t have the upper link arm or a tag. I fabbed the one that"s on it and it is bolted on. My take is the original top link arm should be mounted on the 2 side pins and free to move on them so the adjuster built into the blade could be used. I have more photos of the blade if your interested.

I was just curious... the blade works fine for me, which is all I need it to do. It did have a tree fall in it in the tornado (it was my next door neighbor's at the time), but other than shearing off of the bolts that mount the blade and the large bolt that it turns on, it was undamaged - just buried in the dirt.

By the looks of that background you"ve got your work cut out for you! That maul will give you a good workout, I"m still using my great grandad"s old sledge & wedges.

Your fenders are sittin" up pretty high, what"s bolted between them & the axle?

The mounts for the front end loader are what has the fenders sitting up another couple of inches...

We had a tornado come through our yard over the summer and cleanup has been a slow process. Once the "has to be done" stuff was done, the rest really slowed down. I've been getting quite a bit more done lately since buying the N though, which is nice. I like the maul, it's quick, but a lot of work on bigger stuff. My father just dropped off his old wedges the other day but I have yet to use them. Any tips?

Craig

My best tip is....stick w/ the maul!

Seriously though, it"s the best thing for all the straight-grain stuff. But on the knots & twisted pieces the wedges are about the only thing that splits"em(unless you find hydraulic splitter to buy or borrow).

I find it isn't safe to let wimmens on yer N's. Sooner or later it'll become thier N, and you'll be standin back watch 'em drive off on it. LOL I'm lucky if I'm allowed to drive either of our tractors when my wife's home. A daughter would only be that much worse. You guys have a couple of cuties there, it's great to spend time with 'em. Enjoy
Ron
