Without going to far into this, it would help if some folks would reply to this inquiry, hopefully positively. Assuming that this dilemna I am in is a "guy-thing", I need confirmation and support for my actions. I carpetted our 3 car garage this summer, and "she" rolled her eyes, now my beloved wife has spotted the garage door opener on the 8N and is in hysterics. It saves me from some unnecessary running around and helps to keep barn-cats out of the garage -- am I really to spoiled?? -- Who else has a clicker on their trusty Ford ????? 8N - 231880

No garage door opener, would be nice. I am thankful I got Dad's 8N in the heated garage.

I DO have a magnetic cell phone attenna on the back fender for my Star-tac cell phone..... .

Don't a a door opener on my 8N yet, but sounds lie a good idea. I once knew a guy here that had a lot of colon promblems, he mounted a commode seat on the side of his JD. He said came in mighty handy.

Okay Guys.... after doing a summer worth of lugging building materials and other stuff when we built a summer cottage this last year, my wife declared to some one else that the tractor "deserved a spot in the garage" I may not have an automatic garage door opener but I got permission!, thus the cars are outside.

You know, I've never thought of that before but it sounds like a very good idea. I'm going to mount one of those clicker holders underneath the gas door right beside the 12V outlet for the cell phone.

Last year I kept our Oldsmobile out in the snow and my 2N in the garage next to my wife's new truck. Always use the Garage door opener. This year I have it sitting right in the middle of my heated, wood working shop. Temp never gets below 55 degrees and her Gary Paint job has not gotten wet since I've owned her. Not only do I have garage door opener but the floor had soft rubber padding over the concrete so her tires don't get tired (standing on that concrete all day long)I keep a night light on for her and the dogs.
I think Ken has the right idea about honking the horn and having wife raise the door but in some family structures that could lead to open revolt and bloodshed. Frankly, my wife would be thinking I was crazy if I didn't use a garage door opener to put the "N" away.
I presume your wife does not use a garage door opener to put her car away?--educate or upgrade her.

I think having a remote door opener on your N is a sign of a true gentleman; after all, without it, your wife would have to stop what she was doing & open the door for you, right?! Around here, my wife's vehicles have the two car garage with the door openers; however, the heated single car garage w/o an opener is home to my 50 frontmount!

What ? you keep your N in the garage ? Why isn't it in the living room where it belongs, and the toolbox is a great place for all the remotes.

Sounds like a perfectly logical addition. Unless the reason she's in hysterics is because you "borrowed" her 'clicker'???? :-D
