Been poking around at a nice restoration site & found some paint chips for ford cars that list Vermillion Red. They don't say anything about tractors but doubt they had more than 1 virmillion.

Also VERY good car restoration site I have been gleaming for days!!!!

Hey Rasp, that is really a nice site, good tip! As to the Red it could be as it is a commercial color from the 1940's. Might take it to the Nason folks and see what they say. Problem with those old numbers is that they do not usually transfer to modern paint formulations and dealers can't do it, you have to get data from the paint mfgr and they will furnish a number something current and maybe close. John Smith has the good as it gets Centari red color posted on his site. His gray is nice but lighter than the original 8N thru Hundred Series gray.

Yeah, I just thought it was cool. If I ever get all my restoration done enought to paint I'll get some good paint like John has. But then I don't have air suit & don't need iso's in my much abused already system.

Most likely will try to find a local painter to shoot the grey parts & do the best I can on the red parts. All my sheet metal is perfict except for the grill & really need to start work on rear rims .
