I was looking at the Smith's website and looking at his work it sure is impressive. In the pics of the 2 project tractors I saw the inards of an 8n here is my question. How are the trans main shaft bearings mounted? Do the bearing races drive right into the houseings or are they on bearing carriers? I am particularly curious about the ones in the rear end case. All four of the 8N transmission mainshaft and countershaft bearing cups are pressed into carriers that are then bolted to the transmission case.
