I did mine in about 15 seconds by warming it up and turning it inside out, slide it all the way down and then roll it on .no problems.Dave..

I just put one on mine a week ago. I did what Jerry says, plus I put it on inside out, slid it down the shifter, then just rolled it down into place. Sort of like a, well, I probably shouldn't say that here ;-) Anyhoo, it was a small struggle, but it looks good and will keep out rain water if I ever get so foolish as to leave it out in the weather again. Hope this helps.

I used WD-40, a pair of needle nose, and my wifes help. Roll the end up over the outside, so you can roll it down into place at the base when you get it worked down there.

Good luck,
Dan

Try some liquid soap and soak it warm water first.
