My orignal message was in error. It Should have said. Ford tractor is an 8n ser no 299. What is the horse power of it ?

Kelley..... ...the 1947 8N was rated by the University of Nebraska Agriculture Dept at 21.06 hp PTO, (test #385) Iff'n yer 8N's s/n is truely #299, then you have the 1st or 2nd days production 8N in Jun 1947..... ....respectfully, Dell

Richard, two questions for you:
1. Where did you get that model number? The Ford 8N tractor was simply a model 8N. No other model number was assigned.
2. Are you the Rich Kelley that led the NBA in rebounds while playing for the old New Orleans Jazz in 1979?

Kelley..... ...the University of Nebraska rated the 1950 5-nipple sidemount engine at 26.19 PTO hp (test #443), and the 1948 4-nipple frontmount at 25.77 PTO hp (test #393)..... ...HTH, Dell
