Hi,pulled off the hydraulic lift coveron the 48.the control spring was way loose.long story short,I need to heat the yoke on the end to get it to adjust.Upon removal of the shaft to seperate this control spring from the lift cover I see my support(acording to the FO4 part #2n624) is rusted thru and the manual shows a little round felt that is nonexistent. How important is the felt and anyone have a support for sale or know where I can get one.

I don't have my F0-4 in front of me. Which part is the support? the triangular piece which holds the felt? Both it and the felt are readily available from a certain supplier in NC if nowhere else. I think even your NH dealer can get it. The felt helps to keep water from running back into your tranny housing by running down the control spring linkage into the housing. It's a quick and dirty seal if you want to think of it that way. They are missing in a lot of tractors, but if you've got the thing apart, put on back in.
