The steering gear has alot of slack on my 8n. I dont have the serial off it yet but I think it is an early one it has the front distribultor. Where is a good place to get a rebuilt steering gearbox for it? I dont think I want to tear mine down right now I have too many other things going on. Thanks

Wyler,
Even if you get a rebuilt box (which will cost $$$) it will take a while to swap over the sector shafts. You may just need to adjust your"s. If you don"t have an I&T FO-4 "Shop Service Manual," you really should. It will save you many hours and answer a lot of questions. It"ll tell you just unbolt the roundy things on the side of the box, turn one of em this way, turn the other that way, bolt it back up and the slop in your steering should be about gone. As Dell says, "$25 cheap. Available from this site and many fine tractor emporiums."
