I thought all you Ford folks would get a kick out of this! When I went out to clear snow today with my trusty '49 8N , I had a little surprise. When I started it , a bunch of soybeans blew out of the exhaust. It must be from that fancy-pants new biodiesel or gasahol fuel made with corn and beans! Of course , as I plowed snow, I could smell soybeans roasting. Maybe I could start a new business..... ..
Funny thing, though. They looked a lot like the leftover seed beans I have stored nearby.
Years ago I had the same thing happen to my '48 Ford pickup. Darn thing wouldn't run until it finally backfired and blew dog food all over the garage!
I posted a sign, " No mice allowed". Maybe they can't read?

At my Ford dealership here in Pa customer bring there vehicle in complaining about no heat we find a little bit of everthing packed in the heater ducts acorns, grass, bit of paper towels
twigs,corn,oats,hair,dog and cat food ,
we even found a tampon one time have know idea how the little critter got it in there what we find amazing is the customers feel that this type of repairs should fall under there warranty.

I have the same thing with Black Oiler Sunflower seeds. Dang mice would store them up the tail pipe and when I fired it up they blew all over, seeds smelled good, but the mouse turds - when you roast them, are a bit aromatic.
This only happens in the summer when I park my '47 2N in a back barn. In the winter I keep it in my heated shop and the resident mouser doesn't let any mice near it.(I recently acquired two fantastic mousers for the back barn so next summer the sun flower seed gang should meet their match and my "N" will not suffer the indignitiy of having seeds shoved up it's tail pipe.)
