A question and (a somewhat unrelated) mystery solved.Q: How does one change a tractor front tire? I have tried running over the bead close to the rim with a car and still cannot get it down where I can work it off. Looks like the center drop area is not very deep. Suggestions? I'd ask about the rear tires, too, but since mine are filled with calcium chloride solution, I think i'll leave them to the tire folks...but I'd like to know how to do them, too. The mystery: Why does the gojo with pumace (the handcleaner in the pound plastic pots...not the smelly, thin, orange stuff) separate in the pot?
I called the company. The two things which commonly cause the seperation are: 1) Air. Make sure the lid is snapped back on between uses. 2) Salt. Road salt or otherwise. This leads me to suspect that the real culprit may be mositure (with the salt acting to attract it from the atmosphere...but maybe not). I've gone through several packages since learning the above with no separation. I have gone through the stuff faster than usual with a lot of car and tractor work this winter, so no double blind study here!
