I also have a question on seats. My 48 8N (mfg 8/1/47) has a coil spring under the seat with a swivel bracket in front and a shock in the back. Haven't seen another one like it. Looks original?

The two person seat is almost certainly home-made. Someone even made a second seat that hung out over the back end. Called it a mother-in-law seat. The seat with the shock is probably the Monroe EZ-Ride seat. There is a pic of one on John Smith"s site. If you need a new shock, check the link and write the info down. Don"t try to mug one of them big truckers.
