Suspect (er I mean subject)= Mongral 9N. Action = Pulled the left trumpet this week end and ordered the new lower link pin this morning. Question! The back hole where the pin goes is just slightly worbled out (maybe a few hundreths)the front hole where the bolt goes that holds the outside reinforcing bracket is really bad. Will JB weld solve these problems? And do you just putty it up, then bolt it together while still the JB is still wet?
Inquiring mind wants to know!
Zane Thing is next on the list!!!

Rbell..... .Remember, the 9N's lower link pin is straight sided, the 8N's pin is tapered. Parts suppliers can mistakenly supply the wrong pin.

Yeah, most of the lower link J-B weld repairs that I know about, wet pucky the very cleaned out hole and bolt in the lower link.

You still have to torque the bolt to about 240 ft/lbs while wet and install the cotter key into the castelated nut. ..... ..Dell

Thanks Dell that is what I shall do.
I thought the 9 pin was tapered, and the 8 straight. I better double check Dons as mine is tapered and has a large facing that fits against the outer reinforcing flange.
