Pic got a little dark, but Myrtle ('49 N) is working hard in the cold weather.

Nice Pic!

Just hope you don't crank the discharge chute towards your seat...end up looking like a sNow maN.

How deep of a snow fall can you go through...limited by what you can drive through?

Is the unit a lot for the N to handle?

Sal

I have found that 4-6" of snow is the most it will handle in a single pass in first gear. You are limited to what you can drive through. If the snow is deep you have to make two passes. I ususlly run the N nearly wide open, so yes, it is a lot to handle. I should mention that I have a two foot extention wing on the right side. It allows you to scrape the deeper stuff without driving through it. Oh, the shute only goes right or left, but you still get covered in snow depending on the wind.

SW3,

Is that the new pull blower from Erskine? I was asking about them in a earlier post. I am interested in a three point blower for my tractor. How does it do not have live PTO? I am wondering how it effects the blower when I come to a stop or turn around.

Thanks!

Craig

It is an old blower from Erskine, probably around 50- yrs old. I have never had live power, but I don't think it would make much of a difference with this blower. You have to be driving forward for it to get the snow in and throw it. You are always pulling a pile of snow until you drive on an area you have already plowed, then most of it gets pulled in. I also keep the top link tight enough to keep the rear of the blower up an inch or two. This helps to get rid of the little pile at the end and prevents the blower from picking up too much gravel. You get used of raising the blower before you come to a stop. I used it in a farm yard with a big area to clear and not much of a driveway. I ended up using the front blade a lot because as I mentioned earlier, you are always pulling the pile of snow.
I now use it on a 1/2 mile driveway and it works great.
