Hey all, read here awhile back about pellet and corn stoves, one more question I have is, does one cause more ash than the other? I have a pellet stove and know how much ash I have.
Thanks

We have burned both pellets and corn. With pellets we had to shut the stove down twice a week and empty the firebox. Corn ashes stick together and you can remove them with the stove still burning. We still shut it down once a week and clean the firebox, heat tubes, etc. Corn seems to burn hotter and it is much cheaper than pellets, at least in a farming region.

Have had both in the past - NEITHER causes much ash at all. Corn is way cheaper and easier to get here in Nebraska, so that's the way to go (for me!)!
