There is also another scam going on you may want to watch out for. This new scam is being pulled mainly on older men.

What happens is that when you stop for a red light, a young scantily clad woman comes up and pretends to be washing your windshield.

While she is doing this, another person opens your back door and steals anything you have in the back seat. They are very good at this.

They got me 7 times last Friday and 5 times on Saturday. I wasn't able to find them on Sunday.

I am glad most folks know better than to fall for this scam you"re talking about, --- seems to me I"ve read that law enforcement officials want to know about such contacts from outside the U.S., something about money laundering. fwiw -- RuintTX "49 8N

Cash the check, when it clears and you get the money, keep it. Yes I"d say its a scam but if he is dumb enough to pay more than the asking price... oh also keep the product, yup a scam...

From what I have read/heard, the problem is that the "Cashier's Check" does NOT clear the bank and is charged back to your account. By the time it is charged back, the "difference" money that you sent is GONE!!! i.e. The scam.

Well, turnip truck or not, you are going to be waiting a long time for that check to clear.

Yeah, but don"t forget that when the check bounces you will be charged a fee of usually $30.
