Just got my carb back from FNH. I had it completly rebuilt. My question is How do I adjust it? I have seen many posts about 1 1/2 turns and leave it.(Dell's direction I think) Is that the main adjust needle? Also the fo-4 manual says to turn the throttle speed stop screw to 400 rps at idle. How can I tell without a tach.?
The guy from FNH said it should not need adjusting except for the Main, but I would like some input. Please in simple terms. Thanks Rick T.

8N service information book dated 1959 states that both the 8N and 9N carb are adjusted in much the same manner. In some cases it may be necessary to open the idle adjustment needle of the 8N carb as much as one and one quarter turns and the main adjustment needle one and one half turns to obtain proper engine perfomance. The 9N carb turn the idle needle approximately three quarters of a turn and the main needle one full turn. The same publication identifies for carbs TSX33 TSX241 TSX241A and TSX241B

Turn the large main adjusting screw to 1 1/2 turns from seated. I test by goosing it to full throttle from idle with it running. If it hesitates, I turn the main out a little more. I try to balance between quick response and black smoke out the tail pipe... Then, I turn my idle mixture about 1/2 turn from seated. Lastly, I adjust the RPM screw on the linkage.

Good luck,
Dan

Our latest update still shows 134D with no listing for 410B. Do you have the actual part number?
