but it does show an 8N earning its keep and not working hard doing it. Those old front bumpers were made tough. The tongue weight on this trailer is very heavy.

I use the front bumper of my 8N to move my 16' tandem axle trailer around too and I probably put way too much weight on it also. But you can break your original front bumper and that's why my 8N has a shiny new front bumper with a fancy new hitch ball. Don't ask me how I know. :c)

I love using the front hitch for moving trailers around. You can turn'm on a dime and put that trailer places you never could with it on the back. Nice lookin bug. We always ran the diesel rabbits VWs. Those little old cars just keep goin...just like the fords...Tim

I really like your tractor. Mine is almost identical to yours. I"ve had it for 20 years and I cannot imagine it with a red belly - even though most of the pictures posted are based upon the original colors.

Like your VW, too. I"m still kicking myself for selling my "65 bus.

Ain't many cliff's around here. But if it doesn't work out I may roll it off in a ditch. The problem is this thing doesn't even have a three point hitch so when we fix it I'm not sure what we'll do with it. Initially we all thought it was one of those "good things are where you find them" deals.
