It is worth whatever you payed for it. If you are thinking of selling, trying to find someone to pay more than you payed, including shipping cost, might be tough. I don't think they are a good investment unless you, as a generous grandpa, might give them to a grandchild.
I have 8 or 10 like it in various degrees of wear and broken and a couple of NAAs as well. Most were e-bay purchases.
Something that I have found with them is that ones with farm lug tires often have one of the tires on backwards. Another thing you will find is that many early versions were fragile and have broken front axles and broken off steering wheels. Later versions had a cast steering wheel and stronger front axles.
Put it on a shelf and enjoy the view.

Now you got me thinkin' about sharpening up the spoke shave and making new rims for my '41.

Nice find! It doesn't matter what you paid for it. When your grandkids get ready for college it'll pay for a year or two!

Scott

I gotta get one of those!

Looks like someone is making the neck for a stringed instrument??

Wasn't there a blacksmith tool that cut the tapers for the hub part of a wagon wheel?

What is that called?

I am looking at Ebay right now for a spoke shave.

Zane

Zane....as john said they are a little like a drawknife except a draw knife can follow the grain and go a deep as it wants..spokeshave can only go as deed as the depth guage will allow...be like an open block plane....mike
