How do you measure a plow to get the "bottom size"? Or should I say where do you measure? Rookie

You can measure from plow beam to plow beam to figure that out. It's the ammount of ground each bottom is responsible for. From shin to shin horizontally. If you can use the plow frame it's the easiest. If not, from one shin to a line directly forward of the next....you get the idea. :)

Measure the distance between the beams. Be sure to measure like sides of the beams. Ron

I could be mistaken as i'm not a plow expert, but I beleive that the distance is the horizontal measurement between the bottoms, say, from the flat edge of the frog on one bottom to the same point on the next bottom. These are usually 12, 14, or 16" measurements with 12 and 14 being common.
