I am picking up my new cam gear tomorrow and I'm pretty sure the cam or crank has been turned a little. So how do I put the new gear on and make sure its in time? 1948 8N fiber gear 4 bolts

The 4 cam gear bolts will only line up in one position. The crank gear and the cam gear have timing marks. Simply match them up.

I can't find any marks on the crank gear or the old cam gear either.

Take a look at this thread from several days ago for some hints. My post shows a photo of the relationship between the crankshaft position, the timing marks, and the distributor drive slot position.
