I have been looking for a 1 or 2 bottom plow for my 49 8n.
I found a 2 bottom plow on ebay for $99 and we worked out a way to get it to me.

He had this to say about the plow.
----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----
It has the original plow points on it and they are not sharp anymore, they may need to be changed sooner or later, just want you to know in case it makes a big difference. This is not a new plow.
----- ----- ----- ----- ---

Does this make a difference.
I know nothing about plows.
I seriously doubt it will see a lot of use.
After trying it a few times it may never get used again.

So whatchya'll think about it.

Pooh, plow points are bolted on so they can be replaced. They need to be replaced, and should be replaced. When we did all of our plowing with our N we went through 2 sets per year. If that's the only problem you find with a plow, think of them as bent nails, ya just toss 'em and use a new one. Ron

If you are just turrning over a row or two for fun.. or the wifes 10-30 veggy garden.. even a plow with some wear will work.. as long as the points aren't slap 'gone'.

I've got a dearborn 10-1 2 bottom plow.. and it has plenty of wear.. but is very serviceable. It hasn't been used since I painted it ironically. but I was happy to get it at 200$.. even with coulters missing. It looks to be of much better construction than the ones at TSC.

I replaced a few bolts and assorted parts.. just enough to make it run a row.. etc. After that, I did a days worth of grinder and wire wheel work on it.. then primed and painted it the next day, and moved it to the back pasture on on some wood blocks.. where it has remained!

I saw one today for $200.00 and I wish I could find a deal like yours because it would only get used to break the garden in the spring. Ask the the guy if its ready to plow other than needing points someday,if it is and it makes you happy do it.
