I was looking through the archives to find out where the light switch goes and I saw DELL Talking about the cigar lighter. Does anyone have A picture of one of these mounted or know exactly where it would have been installed? I must have one! Did not evan know it was an option on the 8n

My father installed a lighter, out of a car, near the light switch on our "51 8N around 1954. It quit working in the mid-70s. I didn"t know that lighters were a dealer option until I refurbed Nellybelle 3 years ago. It has a new one from donb and it is in the hole that my father drilled.

Roughstock,
Since it was a dealer installed option, it could have been installed anywhere there is room. Your choice.

They are good for lighting firecracker too.

Matt had a dog that would chase anything comming down the road. Gus was going by on his 9N. When he saw the dog comming he pushed in the lighter and lit the fuse on a firecracker. Gus threw the firecracker to the side of the road. When it exploded the dog went back up the drive as hard as he could run. It was a long time before the dog would chase anything comming down the road.
