Can someone please refresh my memory as to where the small (about two inches long) clip attaches to the engine. It is the one that as I remember holds the wires away from the fan after they come out of the wire conduit. I have seen many tractors without them, and can't find anything in the books or literature I have available. Archives were no help. If I need to I will get a scan of it. Thanks in advance.

Mine is on the bolt that sits at around the 11:00 position on the timing cover.

Thanks all for your responses. A little clarification though please. would that be the hole to the right of the oil relief valve or the third one to the left of the oil relief valve hole in this picture? Thanks again!

while you are waiting on the picture

at least on a front mount 8N it attaches under a timing cover bolt that is hidden behind the generator

your mileage may vary
