Dan,

I have to tell you that your project is coming along very well. Great job. Your photos are very good for anyone who wants to dig into a project like that.

Thanks for taking the time and effort to post the progress reports and pics.

The bad news (for my wife) is that you are making me believe I need to tear apart my 9N and start all over. LOL

Yep, Dan has spent a bunch of time on the tractor rebuild and even more time sharing it with us all. Thank You Dan.

Of course you don't need to tear apart your 9N and start all over... You need to get a NEW project and start fresh!

I am glad my obsession has been a positive force for those wanting to fix up old iron, and I am more than happy to help in any way I can. Kind of my way of re-paying all those great people who have helped my along the way with my old Ford tractors.

Enjoy, and good luck,
Dan

Dan I enjoyed the photos also. They are not just for someone who wants to start a project like yours but educational for someone like me who has never seen the insides of the tractor. Not as scary as I thought. Appreciate the time it took you to post them.

Thanks for the kind words. I was a little intimidated the first time I opened the engine up myself. But, I kept reminding myself - Ford built these tractors to be serviced in the field by farmers. Most stuff was self evident, but as I have neve seen the insides of any engine - much less rebuilt one, there were a lot of common sense engine rebuilding info I had to glean from this board. There are a lot of very knowledgable and patient people here that will happily help in areas where they can. I could not have been as successful the first time had it not been for all the great people here.

I have several more pics, I just didn't want to bog load time down on the web page. I will rotate the pics so everyone can see them all.

Thanks,
Dan
