Looking for advice and help:

ENGINE RUNS GOOD UNTIL TRACTOR STARTS TO WORK,
PULLING OR PUSHING. AT ANY RESISTANCE, THE ENGINE
LOSES POWER AND ALMOST DIES. IS IT THE GOVERNOR,
POINTS----STUMPED!

Before you spend alot on a govenor I would check to make sure your carb. is working right, try pulling out on the choke the next time it starts to do this if this helps at all then it's in the carb. or you might have dirty fuel strainers there is one in the sediment bowl and one in the elbow at the carb. hope this helps.

Soounds like my 2N before I got the Gov rebuilt. It cost about 120$ and well worth it. If you can pull it you can send it to:

Fossum Ford Tractors
Northfield, MN
507 645 8095

These guys a famous Ford tractor men and work at reasonable rates. The number Igave you is for Palmer Fossum. His son is Warren his number is 507-663-0939.

Warren got my 2N humming like a champ. they do many gov repairs each year.
