Such a nice day here in OK today I took off at lunch to to do some chores. The 8n ran great Bladed the drive way,LET ALL THE HORSES OUT Had to go to the neighbors to get them and then started to plow my wifes garden. I didn't have a plow so I borrowed one and I dont know what you would call it but it only had a blade on one side and it was about two foot long point to back and about one and a half foot high,This is just the blade.
I started to plow and it whent strait into the ground and stop the tractor.had to stop and lift it up and go again.I had to this every time. Needless to say it looked like crap when it was done. How do do I use the draft control so the plow won't dive and stop the tractor?

Roughstock,
I know mine is NOT adjusted properly. To keep the plow shallow enough, I only lowered the control about two inches and that still put it a good foot into the ground. Since I don"t have one of them little stops, I used a very inefficient pencil mark to get (about) the same draft on the next pass.

been there done that,
i learned by not trying to take so much of a bite, but with a 9n you gotta watch it close, especially if you aint got fluid in tires

I tried not to get such a big bite but my guess wasn't that good.
Let me tell you what My NEW YORK wife did today.
After I had the garden semi broke up I turn the tiller over to her. She has never touched a tiller in her life. This is a good size self propeled tiller with little tractor tires on it . You have to hold the saftey handle up for it to evan move.If you let go it stops. SIMPLE Yea right.
I was walking to the barn and I heard her screaming so I thought she was hung up in the blades so I take off running and get around there and she had been backing up and got up against the fence and panicked so she did not let go of the saftey handle it pushed her thrue the chain link and had her pined about 2 foot on the other side against the shed. She thought she was going to DIE.She couldn't breath to scream anymore and when I saw her I was laghing to hard to help. She is allot more carefull now thoe.

Belive me she's ready. She actually takes to the N pretty good. She can't be mad at me for laughing at her because she knows I'm the boss and you don't lagh at the boss. (don't tell her I said that). And she is OK, only her pride is hurt.
