Hey guys thought I'd add an update to my never ending clutch story. Especially since by some devine influence all is well in Mudville now. Recap late March started the ol girl up and went to move some equipment around the lot when push in clutch and she no longer worked. Thought hmm must be stuck. Came in here looked up all the stuck clutch tricks nothing worked. Tried to readjust the clutch still nothing in fact with last adj went to start and got "Click". Thinking oh great the starters stuck too!
OK fiddle and fum around making plans to split the ol girl take the grader blade off the forks working real hard to set up the tarp garage get boom lift out of shed into field etc. Meanwhile I decided it wouldn't hurt to leave a 2 X 8 concrete block on the clutch pedal thinking it would make it easier to get the clutch off the flywheel. Last work I did on the gal was last Thursday. I went out yesterday evening after work to try and unstick the starter. Went to jump it nothing. Now thinking oh no starters gone too! Then discovered my 12 v batt I use to jump was dead so I figured try from the 8N's 6V batt. When I went to D/C it the 0AWG neg batt terminal came off in my hand. The big brass terminal had a small crack on the side so the batt wasn't connected. Put a temp auto wire (I know but it's only temp till I can get another 0AWG for her) and varoom off it went. Concrete block still sittin on the clutch so I think hey what the heck lets see if in can jam it into 4th and get it to a leveler place in the lot to split her. I grabed the stick and slid her in 4th no problem no grinding nothin. I think what the? So I turn on the PTO lever engaged easily no grinding nothing. Hmmmm so I remove the blocked clutch lever and release the clutch then engage it. PTO stops and I turn it off. Shift her from 4th to 1st and take her for a run around the lot stopping and shifting and turning on the PTO and operating the lift several times apparently the clutch was stuck REAL bad and the over 70 degree weather and the block helped unstick it. So now I can get back to business with her. Thanks for the help and suggestions. OH, and yes I put 2 X 8 concrete block back on the clutch after shutting her down it's my new friend.

What type oil do you have in the tranny? Not saying you don't have another problem, but sounds exactly like when I changed to the lighter 134? oil in the tranny. Clutch started giving me fits due to what was a small leak in the front tranny seal becoming a major clutch soaker with the lighter oil. Bought 5 gallons of GL1 from Wal-Mart, and changed and sticking clutch problem is completely gone. No more blocking clutch down. Yes, I need to split and change the clutch and seal, but I bought some time. Lift works better with the GL1 as well.
