I BOUGHT ANOTHER TRACTOR YESTERDAY. IT IS NOT AN "N", BUT A FARMALL 140. I PURCHASED IT BECAUSE I KNEW THE OWNER HAD PASSED AND THE HIRES HAD SOLD THE PROPERY AND THE TRACTOR WAS HEADED TO THE STEEL MILL NEXT DOOR. THE TRACTOR DID COME WITH MANY ATTACHMENTS, ONE OF WHICH I WOULD LIKE TO SELL. IF ANYONE WOULD KNOW WHAT A 186 FARMALL PLANTER IS WORTH,I WOULD APPRECAITE ANY INPUT. THE WIFE DIDN'T THINK BUYING ANOTHER TRACTOR WAS NEEDED, BUT I SAID IT WAS A TOSS UP BETWEEN ONE OF THOSE TWO WHEEL THINGS OR A TRACTOR AND SHE THAN CHOSE THE TRACTOR.

You must have the two wheel thing too..Pretty day today and I took a day off from work and in between mowing my 2 acres(one acre with riding mower and the other with the 2N)I rode my MC to look at another N..really good day..but the N was one I had already known about and could have bought it from the individual for $1000..Now someone else has it and has it for sale for $1500. Wasn't worth a $1000 much less $1500 but someone will come along and won't notice it smoking and this owner won't know???that it uses oil and the lift isn't just right and no muffler, rigged wires, Chevy steering wheel.8N with 9N motor..anyway go on and get that two wheel thing..the other day as I was leaving to go look at another N my wife said "you not getting another tractor".. I have selective hearing and as I left I had a blank bill of sale in my hand just in case, and if it had been what I wanted, it would have come home with me..thats how you do that..... ...

Why Listen? in reply to Tom in MS, 04-15-2005 19:52:27
Half the time my wife is talking to herself. Half the rest of the time she's talking to the animals. After that, half the time she doesn't make sense anyway and half of that last bit, I don't want to hear. No way I'm gonna spend all that time listening for that one sixteenth!!!

Got to listen a little closer, mind sold some of her land and built one of those metal buildings to put my toys in. Somethings are worth pating attention too. Mind says I have selective hearing also, but I did hear her say she would pay for me a building and she did.

Sounds like a plan to me...Mine spends 100% of her time on the computer..All day and most of the night, so I come and go as I please, do as I please and she is oblivious to it all....

You carry those blank bill of sales with you too. I thought I was the only one out there who was always ready to sign off on a deal.
