Early 1949 8N with front mount distributor.

I need a clutch disk.
I have the IT-F04 manual here.
It says to use regular disk and pressure plate,
or heavy duty disk and heavy duty pressure plate.
I only need the disk. How do I know which I need.

Where is the best place to get the disk.

I also need a throw-out bearing.
And a new front tranny seal.
What else do I need while I am doing this.

When I remove the tranny input shaft to install the seal,
is there a gasket there that I need to get.

Probably have other questions as well.

Thanks.

The regular clutch disc# NAA7550A without damper springs on the disc is used with the pressure plate# 8N7563 without adjustable fingers, the H.D. disc# 91A7550 with damper springs on the disc is used with the pressure plate# 09A7563 which has adjustable fingers. The throw out bearing is# 787580A2, the pilot bearing# is C5NN7600A, the front trans. seal is# 8N7052A and the gasket for it is# 9N7086. Your local dealer should have the items or can order it.

Pooh,

Also consider changing out your front tranny seal, as long as you are going to be in there. I also did my input shaft bearing.

Dave H is right, dont try and save a few bucks on the pressure plate just replace both. The heavy duty clutch was larger in diameter and according to FNH no longer available.(I would check with your local FNH dealer as I think my parts guy was too lazy to look it up) I bought my clutch assy from FNH but found out later its imported. If you have a clutch repair business in your area they can rebuild your old clutch and pressure plate as well as supply you with a new release brg..... ....BG

Pooh, the clutches are available everywhere, start with pricing one at FNH and go from there. As far as the pressure plate I always change them with every clutch you are already removing it unless you know the exact history change it the cost is not that great. As for the gasket on the input shaft 9n-7086 is the part number I found.
