Well I did it this time! I took a 9N on trade that I owned once before and now I have to restore it from the ground up. Thanks in advance for all the help I"m going to need. One thing I have is plenty of parts but the one thing I don"t have is a aluminum steering box/dash/ battery box for this 9. If anyone knows wear I can get a aluminum dash for a nine with the battery box still in good shape please let me know.Any other advise will be appreciated. I am going to start the dismantle this weekend. Also I still need the radiator cap for the non-pressurized radiator. The lips that hold go out like a fuel cap. Thanks!!!

What dash do you need, there are aruond 5 versions of the Aluminun dash. Starter button locations and key switch location also a wide and skinny bridge.I, got a couple real nice mid dashes. Thanks, Jason Grooms aka Jagperf@aol.com

I just picked up 2 old 9Ns last weekend. One is a `40 with the aluminum dash and trans cover; also the rt side trans cover is aluminum. the dipstick is in the trans cover.

The other is an early `42 9N; according to Smith`s web page, it`s too early to be called a 2N.

I`d hate to part them out, cause they`re both "Rollers".

I`m in the middle of Kansas. Email me if you want.

The radiator caps are available from the Barkleys or your CNH dealer. Aluminum dash columns are hard to come by in good shape. I'd check your local junkyard (I know where some are in my local yard, but all are in rough to bad shape) or possibly john smith. Heck, ask the barkleys, too! Good luck on the resto!

How do I find Berkleys? I've never heard of it.
