I need to change the coolant in my radiator.
I plan on using a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water.
But I need to flush out the radiator first.
I have well water with a very high iron content.
Am I going to hurt anything by flushing the radiator with this well water.
I am trying to take as good of care of my 8N as possible.

Thanks.

P Bear,

Pull the freeze plugs and flush out the block as well. When you replace the plugs wipe a little bit of silicone around the holes, and the plugs.

Won't hurt it. Add about 11 1/2 quarts of distilled water & anti-freeze at 50/50; the full 12 quarts fills the tank too full & it will boil over. You only need enough coolant to cover the core.

Your engine ALSO has a very high iron content, and I can't see where flushing it with your well water will hurt anything. The block and radiator drain will drain the system well, for your fill with the "good stuff".
