Solenoid Strap

Does any one know what the thread is on the nut that connects the solenoid strap to the starter? Iused the N this morning shut her down to fasten up some equipment, went to start up and nothing. Seems the nut had come off and disappeared. Don"t have anything in the odds an ends tub that will fit.

Ford starter studs are 5/16", NC or NF thread, depending upon what stud the rebuilder used.

According to Master Parts Catalog it is a 5/16'-24 hex head nut. HTH

Russ, all I can say is that's what called for in the Master Parts Catalog '39 -'53 from FMC. Part no.33798-S.
