I finally got my 9N oil return line and put it on. The 9N has been sitting in my garage for the last 90 days or so and when I fired it up, no oil pressure. I looked in the archieves and saw where someone recommended pulling the oil canister and filling the housing up with oil and letting it sit. I did so and when I fired it up I had 20 pounds or so of pressure. I ran the engine for about an hour or so and shut it down several times and each time had pressure when I started it back up. This morning no oil presure again.

Do I need to rebuild the oil pump? This machine sat most of last summer and had pressure when I fired it up.

Thanks in advance guys for your advice.

Assuming you are running 30wt. or better, it appears that the oil pump is losing its prime and cannot create enough suction. But you could have developed a crack in the oil pick-up tube, which is connected to the oil pump. A small crack in that baby and you'll just suck air, no oil. If there is no crack in the tube, then sounds like time for a pump rebuild. You may want to add a quart of STP oil treatment and see if that helps before you start tearing the pan off.
