Started my carb work on my 2N this afternoon after getting skunked at the local auction. Took the bowl assembly off to clean it first as there is no shutting off the gas and I needed to drain the tank. Thought I could rebuild this bowl assembly but it is really grungy inside and out and I think there is a big flake of glass missing on the bottom of the bowl. Is the bottom of the bowl s'posed to have a concave part on one side or no? This looks like a major chip out but it is so smooth that I originally thought it might be part of the design. I suspect not but would like some confirmation. I am most likely going to take Dell's advice and buy a new one (cheap).
Well....on to the carb...

That concave belongs there its where the thing that you tighten fits in. New bowls assembly cost around $20-30 depending on where you get it
