I just learned of a belly mower that works on any tractor with a 3pt hitch. it runs off PTO but what is different to me is that you mount it by "Backing over it" then when it is mid section under the tractor you hook it up. It is designed this way. THe guy says it is from a Texas Co and is a old unit. Has anyone ever heard of such a unit? He is asking 250.00 and says he has gotten spindle parts etc at NAPA. Thanks in advance guys for any help.

Sounds like a Continental Belton from Belton, Texas.
Company is still in business, but no longer making this mower.
Chineese Jinma mower is a copy of it.
For 250 JUMP ON IT!!!
The Jinma sells for 1250 and up.
The Beltons have been going for 400 to 550 on E-bay.
No fussy pulleys to hook up like the Woods mower: just back over it, attach the three-point and shaft, lift and go!
I want one bad but in California they are hard to find.

Don't know about backing over one, as most I have seen, you drive over with the front wheels. All are driven from the rear PTO on old Fords. Big pulley goes on the back and then the belt is re-directed to the mower spindle with some other pulleys mounted at 90° angles. They work good and are great if you are having a dedicated mowing machine, but not practical if you have to use the tractor for other things. I prefer a rear-mount finish mower.

Well, that sure is a horse of a different color. Never saw such a creature. Would love to see one all hooked up. But it does not look that wide to me. I like my mower to be as wide as the tractor or better, a bit wider.
