Throw out bearing question

I am working on installing a new clutch in my
early frontmount 1949 8n.

I got a new throw out bearing. It looks kinda like a donut.

The old throw out bearing looks the same,
except it has ears to attach springs to it.
It had springs on it when I removed it.

Should the new bearing have ears on it.
or do I press the old one off the ears
and press the new one back on the ears.
How do I do this without damaging anything.

I can get pictures if this is not clear.

Thanks.

It will knock off and go back on easy. Press would be nice but I seldom use it. Thats all you git in enny clutch kit is a bearing.

Yep, tapped on it a few times and it came apart.
Will go back together real easy.

I gotta a question posted about a clutch over on the Case forum.
If you could help out that would be great.

Thanks.

Are you talking about the clutch release bearing HUB that slides over the main drive retainer? This is the part your clutch fork pushes to move the throw out bearing into the clutch pressure plate fingers. This is not the actual throw out bearing, that fits on the end of this hub.

Good luck,
Dan
