Any one know of an implement I can get for my 8n that will let me cut the weeds on my pond bank. The bank of pond varies from 2 to 4 ft. down slope. I have a good flat road to drive around the bank. I currently use a weedeater or roundup a couple of times a year. I would prefer to use the pto on the tractor to drive some type of implement. Any Ideas?

Rip, Some time ago there was talk about taking a couple of old push mowers, stripping them of everything except the motor, deck, and blade. Weld them side by side to a pole or two laterally, then come up with an arrangment to hang them off the 3 point so they stick out to one side. You can probably get where I'm going with this. I was going to try and put something together to mow over my deep ditch. Either that or I will pick up a Ford 501 sickle bar mower to put on the back of my 801. They run 300 to 500 bucks. Or, buy a goat. HTH, Eric

A sickle bar mower if set up right will do a lot of it for you but not all of it. You would need one like they use on the hwys. You ever watch them cut along the ditchs? Those mowers will cut at a lot of angles but they are hard to find and hurt the back pocket, plus I'm not sure you would have the hyds for one either
