We are planning to install a 4 cyl. supercharged engine in a 2N to play with at the antique tractor pulls. I know I cant compete with it but it should be fun to pull with. We are currently working on the adapter plate and reconecting the front axle. Let me know if you have any ideas that might help. The 2N engine has a cracked block so we thought we would play.

The drive coupler between the trans and the pinion is tubular steel with splined sockets welded on the ends. My guess is that this will be the first thing to go. I had one fail while pulling a stump because I gave it too much gas and popped the clutch. That was with only 24 horses.

What comes to my mind is you may tear up the drive train, teansmission, or rear end with the extra power

With the gearing of the 2N set up for the relatively low speed of the original flathead, they're really gonna be cruising by the time they get the replacement engine revved up enough to get serious power out of it!
