Going to try to paint these rims the right colors when I spray them. Will probably try rattle can paint. Any suggestions on a source of the right color or colors in a rattle can.I plan on trying my hand at the whole tractor this winter but for now would like to get the tires close. The yahoo I bought it from had all the rims painted red. Sprayed it on top of the dirt and grime and the job was dreadful.

Some guys recommended the C-IH Silver Argent to me as a substitute for the kind of zinc plating that came on these rims from the factory. It is more of a gray-silver than aluminum paint, which can be way to bright to look right. My Jubilee was on the Classic Tractor Calendar in 2003. Mike-Iowa

I use good old Rustoleum available everywhere:
Sunrise Red #7762
Pewter Grey #7783
Close enough to the original for my 51 8N

I used Rustoleum Metal Silver paint from a spray can on Project Rustbucket. A little too metal for my taste, but looks ok I guess.

I used rattle can industrial aluminum coating over alkyd gray primer from TSC. Looks pretty good, we"ll see how it holds up.

If you have a CIH dealer nearby try the Silver Argent, looks great on rear rims.

Interesting paint colo(u)r name. Does CIH have bilingual English/French labelling?

Reason I ask is that Silver in English translates to Argent in French.

Nah. Just making both the Quebecois and us English speakers think it must be fancy with a ferrin word in it. That'll be an extra $3 please.
