I have an 8N that will run for about 10 mins. and then die. I"ve clean the air filter, clean and repalced the fuel bowl and screen. Still not sure .

Br549, there have been many post here relating the same ie problems.Seems the coil is the culprit.Takes a short while to "heat" up the coil and then it shuts down.I'm not versed on lectrical but I've borrowed a coil from another "N" to make the check. After the "hot" coil cools down it will work for a short time again. Could be !

You need to pull the plug on the bottom of the carb, if you get good flow then you probably have another problem. If you get a good flow I'd make a jumper wire and jumper across the ingnition switch. If that doesn't fix the problem I'd then do a tune up.

BR, I had a similar problem with mine a few days ago. It would die then restart after 10 minutes or so. I thought of the usual electrical suspects, then took plug from the carb. bowl. Very little flow! Just a few drops. Checked flow from tank to carb - good.checked carb filter - good. Tapped carb and flow improved slightly. Took cark apart and got float needle unstuck. Also adjusted float level. I had rebuilt carb earlier, but when I got the engine overhauled a 'carb rebuild' was part of it. Hope I don't have to 'rebuild' the rebuilt engine, too. ;^)

Loosen your fuel tank cap to see if it"s merely a plugged vent.
